CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing several medical providers for alleged negligence and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Healthlab Inc., Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, CDH-Delnor Health System d/b/a Cadence, and two individuals were named as defendants in the suit.

Alexander Cohan, independent administrator of the estate of Katherine Kurcz, filed a complaint on July 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Kurcz sustained serious injuries that caused her health to deteriorate after the defendants allegedly failed to detect an abnormal growth on her cervix. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to diagnose Kurcz's condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Bradley M. Cosgrove and Charles R. Haskins of Clifford Law Offices P.C. in Chicago.
