Clarins U.S.A. Inc. accused of misleading consumers over skin cream benefits

CHICAGO — A woman has filed a class action lawsuit against Clarins U.S.A. Inc. for allegedly misleadingly marketing a skin cream.

Tiffiany Blackwell filed the complaint on July 18 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging the defendant made false claims about the effectiveness of its product.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she purchased a product that was allegedly advertised as being able to reshape and lift sagging or loose skin, while the plaintiff allegedly knew its product is not capable of doing this.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, restitution and disgorgement, injunctive relief, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Katrina Carroll, Kyle A. Shamberg and Ismael T. Salam of Lite Depalma Greenberg LLC in Chicago.
