Lake Shore Foot & Ankle PC, doctors accused of failing to recognize severity of toe condition

CHICAGO — A man is suing Lake Shore Foot & Ankle PC and doctors Lee R. Stein and Tomasz Budz for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Frances Salas filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she experienced great pain due to having her left great toe amputated after the defendants allegedly failed to timely recognize the severity of her condition. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to recognize the severity of the condition of her toe and provide the necessary treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by Samuel A. Kavathas Jr. of Kavathas and Castanes in Chicago.
