Polsinelli Adds Experienced General Counsel to Health Care Practice

H

Polsinelli PC issued the following announcement on Nov. 29.

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes health care attorney Tracey Salinski as Counsel in its national Health Care Practice. Salinski is based in Chicago.

With over two decades of experience, in both private practice and senior in-house roles, Salinski is a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations, offering strategic counsel on a range of corporate and regulatory matters. She has deep experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing a broad range of transactions in the highly regulated and complex health care industry and takes a collaborative approach to creating and executing strategies and solutions that promote growth while avoiding or minimizing exposure to legal liability.

“Tracey’s in-house experience informs her perspective on the tremendous opportunities and challenges our clients face today,” said Polsinelli Health Care Department Chair Matthew J. Murer. “She has a deep understanding of their business needs and all that’s involved in being a healthcare provider in this complex environment. We’re very pleased to have her on our team.”

Salinski most recently served as General Counsel of Duly Health and Care (formerly DuPage Medical Group), the largest multi-specialty physician group in Illinois, overseeing their legal, compliance and risk management functions, and helping doctors, staff and patients navigate the many challenges of the pandemic. She was recognized for her work there with a place on the 2021 Crain’s Chicago Business “Notable General Counsels” list.

In addition to the critical advice that she provides on health care alignment transactions, Tracey counsels clients on fraud and abuse matters, professional services practice consolidation, and physician self-referral restrictions and compensation arrangements.

“I’m excited to join Polsinelli. The combination of the firm’s outstanding health care regulatory practice with its experience in M&A work make it a natural market leader in helping health care organizations strategically align themselves to deliver outstanding patient care and succeed in the competitive marketplace,” said Salinski.

Salinski holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, a J.D. from the Michigan State University College of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.

Polsinelli’s Health Care Practice represents one of the largest concentrations of health care attorneys and professionals in the nation. From the strength of its national platform, the firm advises clients on the full range of hospital-physician lifecycle and business issues confronting health care providers across the United States. The practice has received National Tier One ranking in Health Care Law by U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Law Firms” from 2014 to 2021 and has been nationally ranked in health care by Chambers USA, from 2015 to 2021.
