Fox Rothschild LLP issued the following announcement on Mar. 9.

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Gray I. Mateo-Harris, who is one of 40 honorees from across the country to be selected by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) to receive the 2022 Top Lawyers Under 40 recognition.

This award honors “exceptionally accomplished lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community and dedication to improving the legal profession.”

Mateo-Harris is an Equity Partner in Fox’s Labor & Employment Department and Co-Chair of the Trade Secrets & Restrictive Covenants Practice Group. She has extensive and varied experience prevailing for employers in high-stakes matters through trial, motion practice or settlement. She also partners with clients on internal investigations, private mediations, sensitive separations, policy implementation, workforce training and DEI.

Mateo-Harris’ knowledge of intersectionality, privilege, allyship and the workplace has established her as a DEI authority and trailblazer in the legal community. She is a member of Fox Rothschild’s firmwide Diversity Committee and Co-Chairs the Supplemental Mentorship Program for Diverse Attorneys. Beyond Fox, she serves on the boards of the National Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section, Women’s Coalition, The Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms and the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation. She is also active with the HNBA, Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, the Black Women Lawyers Association, the National Employment Law Council and Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.

“The HNBA is pleased to honor 40 of our best young Hispanic lawyers from across the nation, showcasing the exceptional legal talent and leadership that our community has to offer,” said Carlos M. Bollar, HNBA National President. “The award recipients were selected from a number of highly qualified candidates. The overwhelming number of nominees every year illustrates our progress in the areas of law and leadership. Although much work remains to be done, the HNBA will continue to celebrate and highlight our talented lawyers that distinguish themselves.”
