Duane Morris LLP has appointed Neville M. Bilimoria managing partner of its Chicago office. Bilimoria succeeds John Robert Weiss, the office’s managing partner since 2018, who will be retiring at the end of this month.

“We thank John for his steady hand in guiding our Chicago office for the past six years. We accomplished so much for the firm in a strategically important market,” said Matthew A. Taylor, Chairman and CEO of Duane Morris. “Neville has been with Duane Morris since we opened in Chicago in 1999, and his trajectory as an attorney, author and thought leader is impressive. Neville has an assertive, multidisciplinary approach to his practice and will serve as a dynamic, modern law firm office leader. I look forward to watching him successfully guide our Chicago office moving forward.”

Bilimoria advises healthcare clients on corporate and litigation matters and counsels hospitals, health systems, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, physicians, physician groups, pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies on a variety of issues, including healthcare corporate transactions, healthcare fraud and abuse, compliance issues, telemedicine and telehealth, HIPAA and state health privacy law issues, regulatory compliance and resulting litigation. Bilimoria is chair of Duane Morris’ Physician Services Group and Telemedicine Group. He is listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, 2019-2023 editions. Bilimoria’s corporate work includes representation of clients in transactions for the purchase and sale of healthcare facilities, health clinics and physician practices, as well as counseling on various healthcare contracting issues. He has represented healthcare providers in administrative law matters and disciplinary actions. Bilimoria has counseled pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies on state and federal regulatory issues. He is also a member of the firm’s multidisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Group, wherein advises clients on emerging technologies, and the Cannabis Industry Group.

“I’m excited to build upon the great work John has done to grow our office. I look forward to continuing this momentum and enhancing the strong sense of community we have here and our designation as one of the best places to work in Chicago,” said Bilimoria. “Our collaborative environment enables us to better serve our clients, and I plan to capitalize on that as we continue to grow our presence in Chicago.”

Bilimoria is a graduate of Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (J.D., 1994) and Northwestern University (B.A., 1991).
