Alice Morgan, individually and on behalf of others similarly situated, has filed a lawsuit against Advocate Aurora Health, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The case, with ID 1:24-cv-03544, was filed on May 1st, 2024.

Represented by Brown, LLC, Morgan alleges that Advocate Aurora Health willfully violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Illinois Wage-and-Hour Laws. She claims that call center agents were not paid for time spent starting up their computers and logging into required systems before their shifts, during meal breaks, and after their shifts. This includes overtime exceeding forty hours in a workweek.

Morgan seeks unpaid overtime wages and liquidated damages pursuant to the FLSA on behalf of herself and all current and former hourly-paid non-exempt employees who worked as call center agents for Advocate Aurora Health within the last three years. She also seeks unpaid wages, overtime wages, liquidated damages and related penalties under Illinois Wage-and-Hour Laws for those who worked in Illinois within the last ten years.
