In the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, plaintiff Senora Mapp-Williams has filed a lawsuit against Huntington Bancshares Incorporated and Hector Garcia, Branch Manager for The Huntington National Bank. The case is identified as 1:24-cv-03481 and was filed on April 30, 2024.

Represented by The Kreamer Law Group, LLC, Mapp-Williams alleges discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Illinois Human Rights Act. She accuses the defendants of harassment and discrimination based on race, retaliation, and creating a hostile work environment. Mapp-Williams was an employee at the defendant's branch located at 1485 Palatine Rd., Hoffman Estates, IL.

The complaint details that Mapp-Williams was hired by Huntington Bancshares Incorporated on September 6, 2022, and illegally terminated on March 23, 2023. During her employment period, she claims to have received inappropriate and menacing text messages from Garcia. Despite multiple complaints to Garcia and other HR personnel about these issues, no action was taken.

Mapp-Williams seeks judgment against the defendants for their alleged discriminatory practices. She demands a trial by jury to address her grievances.
