In the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, plaintiff Evelia M. Naranjo has filed a lawsuit against Kustom US, Inc., Michael Carroll, and Andrew Zavodney. The case is identified as 1:24-cv-03450 and was filed on April 29, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that she is owed over $75,000 for services rendered to the defendants.

Naranjo was employed by Cat 5 Restoration from July 16, 2018 through June 10, 2019. She claims that her compensation agreement included a base salary and commission for marketing and sales duties which were not initially part of her employment contract but were later demanded by Carroll. Kustom US, Inc., an Ohio corporation with its principal place of business in Florida, bought Cat 5 Restoration around December 11, 2020.

The plaintiff alleges that the defendants derived significant benefit from her services after April 29, 2019. She is seeking recovery in quantum meruit based on this actual benefit. The amount in controversy exceeds $75,000.
