By Joel Brakken | Dec 4, 2013

A man is suing over allegations a poorly maintained porch and railing caused him to fall.

Dwayne Mays filed a lawsuit Nov. 19 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Southern Point Properties Inc., citing negligence.

According to the plaintiff, Mays was lawfully using the front porch and its railing at 15705 Myrtle Ave. in Harvey on May 9, when the porch railing caused him to violently fall to the ground.
