Jewel-Osco sued for negligence in slip and fall

A woman is suing a Jewel-Osco store after she slipped and fell on ice.

Jane Healy filed a lawsuit Nov. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against New Albertson's Inc., doing business as Jewel-Osco, Store No. 3446, and Lakeview Enterprises M LLC, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Healy was at Jewel-Osco, 7900 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Skokie on March 28, when she slipped and fell on ice in the parking lot, causing an injury to her leg and ankle.

Healy is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. She is being represented in the case by attorney John T. Kennedy.
