Injured painter sues Kraft Foods

Russel Eberhardt filed suit on Oct. 29 in the Circuit Court for Cook County against Kraft Foods and Mondelez International over an injury he allegedly suffered while working.

According to the complaint, Eberhard was working for Advantage Industrial Systems and painting a property at W. 73rd Street and S. Kedzie Avenue in Chicago, which was owned by the defendants at the time of his injury.

Eberhardt claims he fell into a pit or a hole, which was unknown to him at the time and not marked off, and that the defendants of failing to provide a safe working environment.

He is seeking more than $50,000 and is represented by attorney Clifford W. Horwitz.
