Man injured by shattered glass sues for negligence

A man is suing after over claims he was injured by a window that shattered when he tried opening it.

Tony E. Wormley filed a lawsuit Nov. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against Draper and Kramer Inc., Prairie Shores Inc. and D.E.S. Painting Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Wormley was at the defendant's property at 2851 S. King Drive in Chicago on Aug. 15, 2012 and when he attempted to open the sealed painted bedroom window, the glass shattered, causing cuts and injuries.

Wormley is seeking damages in excess of $30,000. He is being represented in the case by attorney Michael F. Conway.
