By Thomas Kallies | Dec 30, 2013

Catherine Ball is suing PetSmart and Adopt-A-Pet in the Cook County Circuit Court over allegations she was attacked by a dog.

According to the complaint, Ball was volunteering at the PetSmart at 219 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook on Jan. 26, when she was attacked by a dog.

She claims a certain cocker spaniel that was up for adoption attacked her without provocation. Ball claims PetSmart was negligent in allowing the dog to be housed at the store.

Ball is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by attorney Gerald J. Bekkerman.
