Village sued over sidewalk fall

A woman is suing over injuries she claims she sustained after a tripping over an uneven sidewalk.

Danyll M. Wolkotte filed a lawsuit Oct. 24 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Village of Oak Park.

According to the complaint, Wolkotte was using the public sidewalk in the Village of Oak Park on Dec. 1, 2012, when she tripped on uneven cobblestones. She is accusing the defendant of failing to maintain or repair the sidewalk.

Wolkotte is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Fred I. Benjamin of Benjamin and Shapiro Ltd.
