By Thomas Kallies | Jan 9, 2014

Maria Del Rosario Hernandez filed suit Nov. 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Walgreen Co. and The Novogroder Co. Inc.

According to the complaint, Hernandez was at a Walgreens store at 1931 W. Cermak Road in Chicago in August when she slipped, fell and over a puddle of water in the paper products aisle, causing injuries.

The suit states the ceiling was leaking and dripping liquid to the floor in the aisle where Hernandez was walking. She claims Walgreens was negligent and seeks to hold them liable for her injuries.

Hernandez is seeking $50,000 in damages and is represented by attorney M. Andrew Hamilton.
