A woman is suing over claims she slipped and fell in condo laundry room.
Catherine Hartnett filed a lawsuit Dec. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against 155 Harbor Drive Condominium Association and Hughes Enterprises, citing negligence.
The complaint states Hartnett was an individual residing in a condo at 155 N. Harbor Drive in Chicago on July 28, 2012.
She claims the defendants controlled the property and breached their duty of ordinary care by allowing the floor of the laundry room to become covered in water and laundry detergent near a washing machine. The complaint alleges that as a result of the defendants' negligence, Hartnett slipped and fell, causing injuries.
Hartnett is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit and is being represented in the case by attorney Dean J. Caras.
