By Annie Cosby | Jan 22, 2014

A man is suing over allegations he sustained injury at the hands of fellow bar patrons.

Jose Lopez filed a lawsuit Jan. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Lemon Tree Too Inc. and Hugo and Oscar Valdivia.

According to the complaint, Lopez was a patron at Lemon Tree Too on March 14 when the Valdivias became intoxicated and struck him with their fists and feet. Lopez accuses of the Valdivias negligently striking him and Lemon Tree Too of violating the Dram Shop Act.

Lopez is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit, plus costs, and is being represented in the case by the Kevin J. McNamara Law Offices P.C.
