Condo association, others sued over slip and fall incident

Riback

A Cook County man is suing over claims he sustained injuries after falling on a patch of ice in a condominium parking lot.

Dariusz Opilowski filed a lawsuit Feb. 4 in the Cook County District Court against The Huntington Commons Association, Hunt Club on the Lake Greenery Association, Hunt Club on the Lake Condominium I Association, Hunt Club on the Lake Phase II Condominium Association, G & D Property Management Inc. and J.B. Block Enterprises Inc.

According to the complaint, Opilowski was walking in the parking lot of the property owned by the defendant, at 500 Huntington Commons in Mount Prospect, on Jan. 13, when he slipped on ice, sustaining injuries.

He claims the parking lot of the defendant's property was poorly maintained as there was an abnormally large build up of ice and snow and that the defendants' negligence resulted in his fall.

Opilowski is seeking damages and court costs and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Adam B. Riback of Levin, Riback Law Group P.C.
