A man is suing over claims libelous blog posts damaged his medical practice.
Leonard Coldwell filed a lawsuit Feb. 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Omri Shabat, also known as Jason Michael Jones, citing libel/slander.
According to the complaint, between February and April of 2013, Jones wrote multiple defamatory statements about Coldwell on blogs posted under the name Omri Shabat.
Coldwell claims the posts imputed criminal offenses, inability in his medical practices and statements against his personal nature that damaged his reputation and his business.
He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Dennis J. Kellogg.
