A man is suing over injuries he allegedly sustained after falling outside a metals facility plant.

Shawn M. Maluchnik filed a lawsuit Feb. 26 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Elgiloy Specialty Metals Hampshire, Combined Metals of Chicago LLC, doing business as Elgiloy Specialty Metal Hampshire, and Tang Industries Inc., citing negligence.

Maluchnik claims he suffered injuries on March 5, 2012, when he slipped and fell on an accumulation of slippery oil and ice outside the defendants' facility. According to the suit, the defendants failed to remove and clean up the ice and oil from the parking lot, causing Maluchnik to fall and sustain injuries.

Maluchnik is seeking damages and court costs and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Marc A. Taxman of Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen Ltd. .
