A Cook County woman is suing a physician and a medical facility after her husband received negligent care.
Cynthia Allen, as guardian of the estate of Michael Griffin, filed a lawsuit Feb.19 in the Cook County District Court against Loyola University Medical Center, Trinity Health Corporation and Tiffany Priebe D.O., citing medical malpractice and loss of consortium.
The plaintiff calls Dr. William Cannon as Respondent in Discovery to give information that would determine who else should be named as defendants.
Allen claims Griffin was cared for and treated by the defendants on June 29, 2004, in the emergency room for vertigo symptoms. The suit claims the defendant failed to recognize symptoms and warning signs of stroke that Griffin had been exhibiting, resulting in Griffin suffering injuries.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 from each defendant and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Chicago attorneys Susan E. Loggans and Associates P.C.
