Rush Medical Center, doctor sued for malpractice; case settled, dismissed

UPDATE: Cook County court records indicate this case was settled through mediation, and was dismissed by stipulation or agreement on July 24, 2015.

A woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries as a result of medical malpractice.

Nancy Radogno filed a lawsuit March 7 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Rush University Medical Center, doing business as Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, and Dr. Minh Luu.

According to the complaint, Radogno was a patient of the defendants. She claims she was severely injured as a result of the defendants' negligence, which included failing to appreciate the urgency of the her condition.

Radogno is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Emilio E. Machado of Rubin, Machado and Rosenblum Ltd.
