Amerimex Mufflers & Brakes sued after woman falls on premises; case dismissed

UPDATE: Cook County court records indicate this case was dismissed by stipulation or agreement on June 15, 2015.

A woman is suing over claims she was injured while on the premises of an auto repair shop.

Laura Silva filed a lawsuit March 12 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Mexico Mufflers & Brakes 4 Less Inc., doing business as Amerimex Mufflers & Brakes, citing negligence.

The complaint states Silva was on the defendant's premises at 2917 E. 95th St. in Chicago on Oct. 16, when she tripped and fell on equipment or debris. She claims the defendant acted negligently, which caused her injury.

Silva is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorneys at Mahoney, Crowe & Goldrick P.C.
