A Cook County woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries after falling down in the checkout line at Sam's Club in Northlake.

Marie McKnight filed a lawsuit March 28 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Sam's West Inc., citing negligence.

According to the suit, McKnight suffered injuries on June 10, 2010, when she slipped and fell in the checkout lane of the defendant's store at 141 W. North Ave. in Northlake. She claims there was a liquid substance puddled on the floor that caused her to fall.

McKnight is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional minimum and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorneys at Santilli Law Group.
