A Chicago law office and one of its attorneys are being sued by a woman who contends they misrepresented her in a car accident claim.

Stacey Arrington filed a lawsuit June 2 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Law Offices of Chadwick and Lakerdas and attorney Michael Kelly, alleging legal malpractice.

According to the suit, Arrington hired the defendants to represent her in court regarding a claim she filed after her vehicle was hit on May 25, 2008. She alleges the defendants named the wrong party as the defendant in her accident claim and neglected to properly represent her to the court.

Arrington is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. She is being represented in the case by attorney Benjamin B. Kelly of The Vrdolyak Law Group LLC.
