Woman sues Northwestern Hospital over slip and fall at coffee shop

A woman is suing over claims she was injured on the wet floor of a coffee shop located in a Chicago hospital.

Theresa Wright filed a lawsuit June 6 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Au Bon Pain and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Wright was in the Au Bon Pain coffee shop in Northwestern Memorial Hospital on East Huron Street in Chicago on March 2, when she slipped on the wet floor and sustained injuries. She accuses the defendants of failing to warn customers of the dangerous condition.

Wright is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Cannon D. Lambert Sr. of Karchmar & Lambert P.C. in Chicago.
