Villa at Evergreen Park faces suit after resident breaks hip

A man who broke his hip is suing the senior facility he was staying at.

Joseph Norman filed suit May 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against Evergreen Living & Rehab Center LLC, doing business as the Villa at Evergreen Park, Villa Healthcare Management Inc., Boulevard Healthcare LLC and Transitional Care Management LLC.

According to the complaint, Norman was admitted to the defendants' facility at 10124 S. Kedzie Ave. in Evergreen Park on March 7 and three days later, broke his hip as a result of the allegedly poor treatment and conditions of the facility.

He accuses the defendants of being negligent, carelessly creating the condition that caused him injury and failing to warn him of dangerous conditions.

Norman is seeking compensatory damages in excess of $50,000 and is represented by attorney Craig M. Sandberg of Muslin & Sandberg.
