Holiday Inn is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims she hurt her hip after falling in a parking lot at one of its suburban hotels.

Liping Shao filed a lawsuit July 1 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Holiday Inn, doing business as Holiday Inn Rolling Meadows, alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, Shao was attending a seminar at the Holiday Inn on Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows on March 13, when she slipped on snow and ice in the parking lot and sustained hip injuries.

She accuses the defendant of failing to remove the dangerous condition from its lot.

Shao is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Dennis M. Feinberg in Chicago.
