By Annie Cosby | Jul 25, 2014

A woman is suing over claims she was injured on a cracked walkway in front of the building she lives in.

Ann Koch filed a lawsuit July 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Carrington Property Services LLC, alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, Koch was a tenant in the defendant's property on Saratoga Drive in Joliet on April 12, 2013, when she tripped on the cracked walkway at the front of the building and sustained injuries.

Koch accuses the defendant of failing to maintain the premises.

She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Fred I. Benjamin of Benjamin and Shapiro Ltd. in Chicago.
