Woman claims Extreme Hwy Recovery & Towing Inc. won't return her Dodge Charger

A Cook County woman is suing the company she hired to repair her car, claiming it won't return it.

Sandra Broughton filed a lawsuit Aug. 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Extreme Hwy Recovery & Towing Inc., alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Broughton's Dodge Charger was involved in an accident on July 31, 2013, and the next week, paid Extreme Hwy Recovery & Towing $3,500 to repair her vehicle.

Broughton claims she has demanded the return of her car that's worth $15,500, but the defendant has failed to return it. Sh further alleges she has sustained $15,000 in damages as a result of the wrongful detention of her vehicle.

Broughton is seeking an order of replevin or more than $30,500 in damages, plus court costs and attorney's fees. She is being represented in the case by attorneys Timothy M. Kelly and Embassie Susberry of Scannell & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
