By Robb Jeffries | Dec 16, 2014

A cleaning professional is suing a major soft drink maker over injuries she alleges she suffered while working at its Cicero Avenue location.

Ewa Salata filed suit Dec. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against Coca-Cola Refreshments USA Inc.

According to the complaint, Salata was cleaning the defendant's facility at 1401 N. Cicero Ave. in Chicago on Dec. 8, 2012, when she slipped and fell after stepping on loose floor tiles. Employees at the facility did not post any warning about the tiles, the suit states.

Salata seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus court fees, and is represented by Jeffrey S. Deutschman of Deutschman & Associates in Chicago.
