Man files dram shop suit against Lake Co. bar over alleged battery

A Lake County bar is facing a lawsuit over claims one of its employees got drunk and struck a patron in the face.

Jeffrey Adams filed a suit in Cook County Circuit Court on Wednesday against Squaw Bar Inc. and its employee Bryan E. Bosack, alleging battery, carelessness and negligence.

According to the complaint, Adams was at Squaw Bar,  located on Rollins Road in Ingleside, on July 5, when he claims an intoxicated Bosack punched him.

Adams is seeking damages from Bosack and from the bar under the state's Dram Act. He is being represented by Marta Zaborska of O'Connor & Nakos Ltd. in Chicago.
