Customer's slip lands Walgreens in court

A woman who claims she slipped on water in a Walgreens store is suing.

Xi Liu sued Walgreens Corp. Feb. 23 in the Cook County Circuit Court.

According to the complaint, Liu was at the Walgreens on Cermak Avenue on Feb. 22, 2013, when she slipped on a puddle of water on the floor, causing to her fall and sustain injuries.

She accuses the defendant of being negligent by failing to remove the water from the floor and not warning about the dangerous condition it created.

Liu is seeking damages and is represented by the Driscoll Law Offices in Naperville.
