Water, sewer contractor sued by supplier over unpaid bills

A water and sewer supply company has sued a contractor, alleging unpaid invoices.

Mid American Water Inc., of Aurora, filed a lawsuit April 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against Elite Sewer and Water Contractors Inc., of Schiller Park, and Daniel Donnelly.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 22, 2009, Elite turned in a credit application to buy supplies from Mid American, and, since then, an account has been open in which Elite "would contact Mid American and request material for a project." However, from May 8, 2014, to Dec. 18, 2014, the suit states, several materials were supplied to Elite but "the invoices remain largely unpaid."

Mid American Water seeks the balance owed, $40,263.29, plus costs. It is is represented by attorney Tina M. Paries, of Bryce Downey and Lenkov in Chicago.
