A man is suing a parking lot patrolman following a vehicle accident that occurred on the premises of a certain Cook County auto auction.

Saeed Fakhari filed a complaint Sept. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court, Law Division against Eric D. Benton; G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc., doing business as G4S Security; G4S Holding One Inc., doing business as G4S Security; and Manheim Remarketing Inc., doing business as Manheim Chicago and Manheim Chicago Auto Auction, alleging negligence.

The complaint states that on Feb. 27, 2014, while Fakhari was driving his vehicle through the parking lot of Manheim Chicago Auto Auction at 20401 Cox Ave. in Matteson, he was involved in a vehicle collision with Benton.

Benton was driving a 2008 Ford F-150 owned by Manheim and provided to him, G4S Security, and G4S, to patrol the parking lot area of Manheim Chicago Auto Auction, where he failed to observe a caution sign painted on the roadway near the intersection where the accident with Fakhari occurred, according to the complaint.

The complaint states Fakhari was seriously injured as a result of the accident, suffering severe shock and bruises, contusion, and lacerations to his body, broken bones, and aggravating pre-existing injuries.

Fakhari seeks judgment against each defendant in a sum of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit.

He is represented by Vincent Petrosino of Serpico, Petrosino, DiPiero and O'Shea, Ltd.
