A Cook County woman is seeking restitution for injuries allegedly suffered on the Crane's Landing Golf Club course after falling in a hole on the fairway.

Kathryn Banks filed suit on Sept. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Marriott International Inc., Marriott Golf, Lincolnshire Marriott Resort and Crane's Landing Golf Club.

According to the complaint, Banks had paid to play on the golf course on Sept. 6, 2013. Banks alleges that the defendants were aware of a hole in the ground that existed on the sixth hole of the golf course on the fairway near the green and did nothing to either repair or make her aware of its existence, when she allegedly stepped in said hole and fell, fracturing her right lower extremity.

As such, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants are liable for said accident, and can be held accountable for various counts of negligence, including carelessness and endangering their customers.

As a direct result of said negligence, the plaintiff alleges to have suffered permanent damage of a personal nature, pain and suffering, medical expenses past and future, loss of normal life, lost wages and other damages.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, along with court costs and attorney fees and other such damages as to be determined by the court.

The plaintiff is being represented by Randall F. Peters of Randall F. Peters & Associates of Chicago.
