A Cook County woman is suing a Chicago hospital, alleging negligence for injuries she says she sustained from a fall on the premises.

Rochelle Fine filed a lawsuit Oct. 26 in Cook County Circuit Court against Presence Resurrection Medical Center, doing business as Resurrection Hospital.

On April 5, the complaint states, says Fine was at Resurrection Hospital when she fell, suffering broken bones, bruises, contusions, lacerations and aggravations to pre-existing conditions. The suit says the fall caused discomfort and physical impairments that left her permanently disabled and unable to work, as well as owing large sums for medical expenses now and in the future.

Fine seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus litigation costs. She is represented by attorney Vincent Petrosino of Serpico, Petrosino, DiPiero & O’Shea in Chicago.
