CHICAGO — The independent administrator of an estate is suing a nursing home, alleging wrongful death.

Donica Bradford, independent administrator of the estate of her mother, Stella Tadla, filed suit on March 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against Butterfield Health Care VII LLC, doing business as Meadowbrook Manor of LaGrange, citing alleged negligence.

The plaintiff alleges that, on or about March 7, 2014, Tadla developed pressure ulcers in her left ankle, heel, foot and left leg that worsened and led to leg amputation and deterioration of her overall physical and mental condition.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for an amount in excess of$50,000 plus the costs of suit. She is represented by Matthew K. Henry of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
