CHICAGO — A Chicago woman is suing a Berwyn hospital, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Ann Marie Crespo filed a lawsuit March 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against VHS of Illinois Inc., doing business as MacNeal Hospital, alleging negligence and premises liability in not keeping its premises safe for their guests.

According to the complaint, June 7, 2014, Crespo slipped and fell in the MacNeal Hospital entrance causing bodily injuries. The plaintiff alleges the hospital had a responsibility to keep its premises clean and safe for guests.

The suit says the plaintiff sustained physical damages of a permanent and pecuniary nature.

Crespo seeks judgment of more than $100,000, plus court costs. She is represented by David J. Gallagher of The Vrdolyak Law Group, LLC in Chicago.
