Woman alleges injuries after fall at Ultra Foods

CHICAGO – A consumer alleges that she was injured when she slipped on wax at a grocery store.

CHICAGO – A consumer alleges that she was injured when she slipped on wax at a grocery store.

Alice Peterson filed a complaint on May 25 in Cook County Circuit Court against SVT LLC, doing business as Ultra Foods, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 20, 2015, she suffered body injuries as a result of slipping and falling on the floor at the defendants facility. The plaintiff holds SVT LLC, doing business as Ultra Foods, responsible because the defendant allegedly neglected its duty to properly clean the floor and to make sure that it was free of any wax residue.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court sees fit. She is represented by Dean J. Caras of Dean Caras in Chicago.
