CHICAGO — An Illinois man is suing a Chicago Heights property owner, alleging its negligence caused him to fall down stairs.

Matthew Buckner filed a lawsuit June 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against Floody, LLC 14 series, and Floody LLC, , alleging negligence in failing to properly maintain their facility.

According to the complaint, on June 4, 2014, Buckner sustained injuries as a result of falling down the stairs on Chicago Heights property owned by the defendants. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly inspect and maintain the common stairways of the facility.
