CHICAGO — A woman is suing University of Chicago Medical Center and Access Community Health Network, doing business as Access Grand Boulevard Health Specialty Center, citing alleged violation of rights of publicity.

Jasmine Easter filed a complaint on June 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they used the plaintiff's photo for advertising.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was damaged when her photo was used without her consent. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly used her image in an advertisement posted in the University of Chicago Medical Center emergency room where it could be viewed by the public.

The plaintiff seeks actual, general, special and compensatory damages in the amount of $50,000, court costs and any further relief granted by the court. She is represented by Christopher Cooper of Law Office of Christopher Cooper Inc. in Griffith, Indiana.
