Medical malpractice 02

CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased person's estate is suing Advocate Health and Hospitals, Advocate Health and Hospitals d/b/a Advocate Medical Group, Lisa Montelpasse, M.D., Silver Cross Hospital and Medical Center d/b/a Silver Cross Hospital, Adel Mouradi, M.D., Maggie Boban, RN, Melissa Zaragoza, RN, Anthony S. Rinella, M.D. S.C., d/b/a Illinois Spine and Scoliosis Center Anthony S. Rinella, M.D., Douglas Stevens, PA-C, Allied Anesthesia Associates S.C., and Boris Nulman, M.D., medical health providers, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

James Delegatto, as special administrator of the estate of Tracy A. Delegatto and on his own behalf, filed a complaint on June 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Tracy A. Delegatto.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between March 6, 2015 and April 1, 2015, Tracy A. Delegatto underwent surgery and was discharged, a few days after being discharged she was again admitted due to shortness of breath which contributed to or caused her death on April 6, 2015. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly evaluate Tracy A. Delegatto's condition, in which her white blood cell count was abnormally elevated prior to surgery.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Vivian Tarver-Varnado of AMB Law Group LLC in Chicago.
