CHICAGO – A Crete business is alleged to have created an unsafe condition that caused a woman to fall.

Nella Maria Nemeth filed a complaint on July 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against Rest Haven Illiana Christian Convalescent Home, individually and doing business as Village Woods; Providence Life Services; and Providence Management and Development Co. Inc. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 18, 2014, she sustained physical injuries when she tripped and fell over a hose that extended across a sidewalk near the pool area and was injured. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly permitted the hose to lie across the sidewalk, negligently installed the hose and created an unsafe condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz and Associates LTD in Chicago.
