CHICAGO — A man is suing South Suburban Rehabilitation Center LLC, South Suburban Rehabilitation Center and South Suburban Rehab Center, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Jerome Mitchell filed a complaint on July 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide him with proper care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in February 2015, he experienced pain from developing pressure sores. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to fully evaluate his condition and provide timely medical attention to him.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
