Man claims medical care fell short

CHICAGO — A patient is suing three physicians – Joel Sugar, Jacob T. Wilensky and Ahmad A. Aref – alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Howard Samuelson filed a complaint on July 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper medical treatment to plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in December 2012, he suffered permanent injuries as the result of his eye treatment. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly treat his by not referring him for surgery to timely address his condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Craig M. Sandberg of Muslin & Sandberg in Chicago.
