CHICAGO — A man is suing Midway Neurological and Rehabilitation Center LLC; Midway Neurological and Rehabilitation Center; Midway Neurological and Rehabilitation Realty LLC; and Infinity Healthcare Management of Illinois LLC, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Robert Blood filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide him with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, he suffered as a result of multiple falls, including a fall that fractured his left hip. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide him with adequate supervision or to implement a care program to make sure that he didn't fall.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000. He is represented by Michael T. Mertz and Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
