CHICAGO — A woman is suing The Villa at Windsor Park Nursing & Rehab Center LLC, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Annie Wood filed a complaint on June 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against The Villa at Windsor Park Nursing & Rehab Center LLC, alleging that the facility failed to provide her with proper care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced pain from developing a pressure sore that deteriorated her overall health. The plaintiff holds The Villa at Windsor Park Nursing & Rehab Center LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to the plaintiff in order for her to avoid having a pressure sore or to provide timely treatment to her to keep it from getting worse.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Margaret P. Battersby Black and Jake D. Radecki of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
