Man blames dysphasia on professional negligence

CHICAGO — A man is suing Alexian Brothers Medical Center; Thomas McNally, M.D.; and Suburban Orthopaedics Ltd., alleging negligence in medical care.

Edward Peccia filed a complaint on Aug. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide him with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, he suffered physical injuries including dysphasia. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly performed an inappropriate surgery on him.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court. He is represented by Bradley Z. Schulman of Motherway & Napleton, LLP in Chicago.
